Music

I am a musician, composer and songwriter.

I have a Bachelors degree from the University of Southampton. My main instrument is double bass, but I also play guitar, bass guitar, keyboard and sing in various projects. I am especially interested in improvisation, and play double bass in various configurations, as well as occasional solo performances.

Wendy Miasma

Wendy Miasma is NOT a pop robot from outer space. She makes lo-fi genre-skipping synth pop and has released several albums released through Cardboard Club and Liquid Library. The live show (with Tina Hitchens and Owen Chambers) has a lot of dancing, props and costume changes. Wendy’s music is queer, joyful, playful and silly.

My first solo improvised double bass album, recorded in a church by Annie Gardiner, released on Liquid Library records.

Yoke

Yoke is a no-wave textural and noisy improv quartet formed of myself, Robin Foster, Matthew Grigg and Rebecca Sneddon.

I have played with many other groups over the years, both past and present, including Annie Gardiner, EP/64, Anja McCloskey, Viridian Ensemble, Spunking Octochoke, Vending Machines, Etao Shin, Heg and the Wolf Chorus, The Card, Run Logan Run, Moulettes and After The Rain.
